Ouch... thanks for the illumination. That is an odd twist; and now that you put it that way, I could see a machine cranking forward new "faces" that can be unaccountable, and with impunity. What the hell then... perhaps it is campaign finance reform. Not pretend, but real. This business of running for President starting 18 or more months before the election is for the birds. How many terms, and how long, can a person remain in office. Maybe the bar needs to be set higher to create an effective balance of ethics and responsibility: maybe 12 years? Make it worth their while to be representable instead of reprehensible.
