Or another angle... people should revolt via their corporate voting to reverse the trend of the past 25 years where the top 0.5% for the most part have vacuumed up ever crumb of new profits a company has gained.

25 years ago, nobody made that kind of money. And you are so right. Clinton was a big winner, but it's everybody. I remember when our somewhat maverick Senator Slade Gordon was defeated after about three terms, and in a way I felt sorry for the poor guy. Unemployed, and with a very bony head... bummer.

Then a year or two later, I happened to see him on my flight back from D.C., and then I found out he was a lobbyist now, making big bucks. I didn't realize until then that those people had their own 'safety net.' We have SS for a piddling sum; and they have lucrative jobs to step into, cultivated while in power.

You're right... it would have a severe influence on what happens while in power.
