Iran PM is a religious nut but that doesnt mean he believes in kangaroo courts. And to your point, he maybe being conciliatory for your reason or he is just using this as a diversion from nukes, especially if US citizen gets out of jail. If you really want to be a realist on FP, you cant assume that all intentions of adversaries are noble just as you cant assume they are all evil. Sometimes national intersts of adversaries collide and sometimes they dovetail. Which is it here?? Not sure.

The president of Iran sees Obama for the neophyte he is and will make him look foolish at every turn, just as Chavez did over the weekend.
