We could cut our military in HALF and have a military larger than any potential enemy, a military as large as half of the entire world's military combined.

Why isn't this an issue for anyone but Ralph Nader? Because the military builds it's stuff everywhere, and has become the military-industrial-government complex. The F-22, which Gates is attempting to cut, is built in 48 states!
