Faber may have gone off the the deep end, but the idea of keeping at least a little gold outside the US is probably a good one. I'm a long way from Canada, and I don't think Mexico is an option. But if I get chance, having something in Canada might be a really good idea.

Tommaso i am going to get to the bottom of this. It must be validated as true or exposed as a scandalous use of Faber's name. i used to subscribe to The Strafor report until i realized there were some Drudge Report equivalent writers with them. This paper they refer to, i wonder if it came via The Strafor Report. i don't believe RJA nor TJ are the source, but something stinks about this. Faber, in 4 years of getting his Newsletter has never written anything pro or con about jews. Also he was FEIRCELY opposed to BushII both on economics and foreign policy. His last true vacation was for two weeks in SYRIA (about 6 months ago) TJ could be pissed at Faber because he is NOT remotely a China enthusiast and is BEARISH on China, and has written(and i could dig up the quote), that the only thing China has learned from the U.S. is to give out BS GDP numbers, just as the U.S. does. you can stop worrying, because faber said precisely that, word for word, via regular mail. so you can feel safe to do precisely the opposite, and advise people you care about to move their gold into the usa, and re-elect obama. actually i would imagine faber is not specifically against obama, in that it hardly matters who is or claims to be in charge of the social energy that is in the process of rolling across the economic-scape. the first wave of the tsunami took out perhaps a quarter of the global village, and i would figure there would be secondary consequences else history stopped. and by your reaction, i am seeing what must have been the social energy of denial that periodically worked amongst the minorities of all descriptions (jews, chinese, jewish communists, ethnic chinese scientists, etc etc, catholics, etc etc) everywhere, from old europe to new america, and from every-so-often russia to 1960s china, believing that vast social energy, once unleashed by trigger event of however long a fuse, would remain benign and under control.
