If you want to get maximum short exposure quickly...Try TZA...a 3x inverse the Russell.

gave me a 15% ride today..purchased in afterhours on Friday and sold today around 3pm.

Both the 3x's and 2x's have to be watched very closely and never used as longer term vehicles IMHO.

i'm done with double short eft's. they only work in extreme volatility, and only if, the preceding trading days didn't whack them. if you can visualize the strange math.

straight short of an index etc would be my route now. no more of these 2x 3x stuff. actually, they work less well in a swing market. which is at best where we are vs. the luck dump.

just my humble etc.
