No American president should ever openingly shake hands with a Communist leader...IMO!

Hmmmmm? So Roosevelt (and Truman) should have snubbed Stalin in WWII even though he was our alley in fighting against Fascism? And Nixon should have snubbed Mao Tse-tung? Would we be a better world had Hitler won and China remained a Sleeping Giant?

When you snub a leader - you are snubbing their country. The people of that snubbed country often then come to resent America. That is nothing other than basic nationalism.

It is just that his actions give credence to what people like Chavez do and say. That is what is disgusting.
