I'm not sure why citing a PhD would be meaningful on this subject. You seem to regard it as self-evident that the church (which I think you define as the RCC) has committed enormous crimes against science and the pursuit of knowledge and assume I'm making a fool of myself for asserting otherwise.

Yet it remains true that its only me that has posted historian's statements supporting my opinion. All you've done is say you possess a PhD (unless thats in history, its not relevant to the point), call me ignorant for not sharing your unsupported opinion, cite things not relevant to the subject (like the Reformation) ... sorry, you're not doing a good job here.

If you want to support your assertion, cite a reference supporting your view, a book on church history, for example.

LOL, yes, I realize to you it appears "secret"... as you know nothing of it.

I repeat, cite a reference supporting your contention.

"Evidence YOUVE provided them" seems to be the key phrase here FYI... as opposed to truth, findable virtually anywhere.

Is James Hannam not a reputable historian? Does the wikipedia entry on religion and science contain false information? Contest them if you have a good reason to.

If there is "truth findable virtually anywhere", simply cite where.

LOL... yes, which you've clearly done LONG ago!! Besides... are you saying that you've actually posted information refuting evolution???

No, but thats not the issue being discussed right now. I'm more interested in philosophical materialism, which some think is synonomous with "evolution" and "science".
