In 1947, the United States prosecuted a Japanese military officer, Yukio Asano, for carrying out various acts of torture including kicking, clubbing, burning with cigarettes and using a form of waterboarding on a U.S. civilian during World War II.

Waterboarding was not part of what this individual was convicted of.

Don't you find it a bit strange that Obama would approve of killing terrorists but doesn't approve of inflicting some minor discomfort on them -- particularly, given that such minor discomfort has been shown to have saved American lives?

Honestly, it is seems Obama is teaming up with the terrorists on their attacks against America.

It is clear that you are arguing something far broader as an example of torturous treatment (the conduct of Yukio Asano), an example that is obviously not comparable to the waterboarding issue at hand. Yet to foreward your bash on bush you are willing to engage intellectual dishonesty by calling them the same.
