So he's here to threaten the US?
What's your point?
Fred, Pearl Harbor is not a threat by Mr. Jiang, it is a reminder of history...............................

South China Morning Post....................

Mr Jiang was given a 21-gun salute and reviewed a military honour guard when he arrived in Honolulu. More than 100 people from the Chinese community waved American and Chinese flags while chanting "Welcome! Welcome!"

He then went to Pearl Harbour, where he placed a wreath at the USS Arizona Memorial and dropped a floral lei in the harbour. At a luncheon with Mayor Jeremy Harris, Mr Jiang said the US and China would work together to ensure "peace and development of mankind".

"In that war which brought untold suffering to mankind, the Chinese and American peoples once fought shoulder to shoulder against fascist aggression," he said. ". . . In today's world, China and the United States share broad common interests . . . on important matters which bear on peace and development of mankind.

"I am confident that through the joint effort of the two sides, the friendship and mutually beneficial co-operation between China and the United States will develop further."

Mr Jiang pledged his visit to improving relations between the US and China, strained since the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown.

"I am looking forward to discussions with President Clinton on developing China-US relations oriented towards the 21st century, and major international and regional issues so as to usher our relations into a new stage," he said.
