In WI we have the right to open carry. People exercising that right have been harassed and arrested however. A case that was just heard was a guy in his yard in the country planting trees and had a sidearm in a holster. His neighbor called the police to see if that is legal. They sent two deputies out that ended up arresting him for disturbing the peace and some other nonsense. Prosecutor went full bore on it unwilling to even discuss the fact that he broke no laws. Fortunately on trial day he got a judge that knew WI law and really read the prosecutor and 2 Barney Fife's the riot act and threw out the charges. But here is the exciting part. This morning our State Attorney General has issued a statement to all law enforcement and prosecutors to knock that shit off. It is legal to open carry and he has instructed them all to stop harassing law abiding citizens who are in no way violating the law. Now if we could just get concealed carry by that POS Governor of ours.
