TJ, you are another one Faber is [purportedly] warning about. He says to run for the hills because there are people who will shoot you in the back as you flee, so get out now while the going's good. You are in favour of shooting the fleeing; ipso facto, ultra vires, infra vide, casus belli, habeas corpus, pari delicto, inter alia you would recommend doing the same to those who would escape the USA, not to mention those who don't but who refuse to toe the line [or tow the line as some would have it though I don't know what line they are towing].

The purported warning is a timely one. I am long enough in the tooth to know that what seems normal is subject to change without notice. The "human slug - no, not even human" denigrations of people is ipso facto, ultra vires...etc... evidence that you would soon join in the onslaught to show who is boss, who is human, who is not.

I would join the fleeing now too, but my ancestors from hither and yon already fled as far as fleeing was possible. Fleeing from here is heading back again.

For decades I have been aware that the USA is imbued with a teutonic repressive manner, no doubt due in part to a very large body of German immigrants and others of similar character from the region. The USA is not a happy go lucky Anglo Saxon free and easy realm of eccentric liberty. The acceptance of taking off of shoes and other imposts on freedom "for the greater good" by authorities is accepted without batting an eye and those who do bat an eye get well and truly batted.

Armed to the teeth and under pressure, there is potential for highly interesting developments in the USA. Bernie Madoff and others in high places who are considered responsible for the financial relativity theory catastrophe could be seen to have something in common which could lead to conclusions which might be not desirable for other members of that group, humans being prone to correlative "thinking", generalisation, group think, xenophobia, tribalism, racism, and mania. I'm sure that Mel Gibson isn't a sole trader in his "thinking", nor in what he thinks is a good movie to make - "But let's make it in 3D, for real" is one step away. "The Triumph of the Will" was just a movie too.

Look no further than this nasty little stream to see what passes for "thinking", civility, perspective, balance, kind regards and fare thee well. And this is no doubt generally civil people. Imagine what lurks further afield... brrr.....

The USA and you do not have a monopoly on such "thinking" so "Head for the hills" begs the question - "Where are the hills?"

Plus ca change,
Gung Ho,
Mqurice
