I ain't going down the nitpick road with you.

Not trying to nitpick. I'm concerned that some might read what you say and be mislead into thinking that their hearts are good to go as long as they don't have plaque.

While coronary atherosclerosis produces heart attacks and is appropriately our focus here because 1) heart attacks are scary and 2) there is much we can do to prevent it, it is only one subset of "heart disease."

From St. Davis: "What causes coronary heart disease or coronary atherosclerotic plaque, this thing that we track with heart scans?" While he may abbreviate it more often than not, he clearly recognizes the framework.
