Sometimes things actually go up after the filing, driving shorts crazy ... it should be possible to pinpoint the date of the filing based on the next debt service payment (which I have been too lazy to figure out), I think the best time to buy would be immediately before they file. The market hates uncertainty.

There seems to be general agreement that there is a payment they can't make during June, the question is which day in June, often they file on a Friday right before the court closes for business, so that the news hits after the market is closed for the weekend.
