Good story, Don! ... Elmo, if you're reading the thread today can you confirm that Novell Fiscal Yearend just closed?

I'm expecting (maybe should say hoping) that Novell will now finally get down to the business of trying to drive more sales and revenue. Having 'set the bar' for the current management to exceed with 1997 results probably lower than they could have been ... they will now devote substantial effort to making 1998 look a lot better.

Looks like another 'poopy' day shaping up ... for almost everyone this time.

***** NOVL screaming buy at these levels !! ***** I have an order to accumulate Nov 7 1/2 calls at $1 3/16 today. The stock is poised for a rebound to $9 within the next two weeks and possibly appraoch $10 once again. I believe that the low reached today at $8 3/8 is the bottom or close to the bottom (pending any stock market crash of course).

The stock is extremely low at these levels. BUY then dump this mother of all no good stocks between $9 and $10 !! You may never see these levels again.

V.K

ECN Limit orders ... puzzling info, can you make sense of this?

It seems from the NASDQ Order book displayed on the Island ECN website that the lowest sell order is 9 1/2, the highest buy is 8 /12 and yet there seems to be lots of trading happening at level in between ... is this the "market makers" moving stocks among themselves to create an impression of falling prices? ... short covering, or some kind of trading that we're not allowed to see?

Here's the Island ECN URL:
beeps.com

You'll have to enter the ticker symbol to get the listing.

Thanks
