When empires collapse, there accounts that are settled. Times of trouble are also times when the elites want to show the devil are the others.

Ignorant masses look for scapegoats in times of troubles. Politicos will select the most visible and offer then for the populaces to use them as scapegoats.

When we talked about ending collusions and ending rigidities people should have noted that this shakes whole structures and it is not to be expected a erthquake without constructions collapsing to smithereens.

People tend to stick to the idea that this is cyclical and not structural because they fear the collapse of the existing collusions of the past 60 years and the effects it will have on them personally.
