If there were examples of other scientists besides Galileo being persecuted for their science, I'd like to know about it. I haven't been able to find any such folks. <So do all church schools I know of including the christian school our kids attended for some yrs.> Great, then that is one more downside of religion... they teach evolution. Like it or change it. Whats important is not whether they teach "change over time" or natural selection, its the philosophical baggage that typically or frequently goes along with it. I don't have a reason to think they're doing wrong on that score.
