How much will be saved by people getting preventative treatment BEFORE they ever have to GO to the ER? 10's of billions.

As expensive as it is to treat the uninsured who visit the ER all the time, it's still much cheaper than giving them full coverage. Either way, they're going to have the same health problems.

Long term, the social benefits of giving every citizen "free" health care might benefit society, but the economic cost is still going to be significant.

And we haven't even discussed whether to give illegal immigrants full coverage as well. That by itself should concern anyone who has a realistic sense of cost ...
