Now how much money is he spending to open up drilling opportunities off-shore and in places like ANWR?

That's how he's SELECTING winners.. He's using government regulation to PREVENT exploration, render coal a liability to future EPA regulation (thus stifling investment) and giving money to alternative energy programs thereby subsidizing the competition.

Y'know.. I can probably understand not giving equivalent subsidies to the oil and gas industries that he is to solar/wind. But if he refuses to open up Federal lands to exploration IT'S THE SAME THING AS CHOOSING A WINNER.

You can't win if you're not permitted to play the game..

"The United States needs to boost domestic production of oil and natural gas in the short term before fully transitioning to alternative sources, Obama said."

This is a classic Obama fraud. He makes words that sound like he is for something but implements policies that make it not possible - ie cancellation of drilling leases. Obama is a liar on energy and economics. His beautiful words give him credibility with shallow thinkers who can't get past the beautiful words.
