He doesn’t like Hell as its popularly conceived. He doesn't like some episodes in church history. His conclusion from the above is God doesn’t exist There are many religions who disagree on things. Therefore he says God doesn't exist He believes in one less God than monotheists, therefore he says God doesn’t exist He slanders religious people as stupid and evil and ignorant and fearful, therefore he says God doesn’t exist Evolution explains how life progressed from a single cell to what lives today, therefore he says God doesn’t exist God wouldn’t have made the universe this way he says, therefore God doesn’t exist. If God existed, he'd have made the world the way he'd like it to be. So God doesn't exist. Religion makes some people do suicide bombing, child abuse and genital mutilation, therefore he says God doesn’t exist If God exists he, Hitchens, can't do whatever he wants and has to ultimately submit to a superior authority, but he doesn't want to, so he says God doesn't exist. He doesn't like Christian doctrines like vicarious atonement, the virgin birth, the incarnation of God, original sin, the resurrection of Christ, therefore he says God doesn't exist. ------------------ None of the arguments Hitchens makes make sense logically. They amount to wishfulness. His arguments are based on his personal subjective preferences. But there's no reason God has to operate according to Hitchen's preferences. And ad hominem attacks on the character of religious people or the sins of religious institutions do nothing to logically disprove the existence of God, regardless of whether the attacks are valid or invalid. Hitchens arguments against God aren't logical at all but emotional.
