i agree with the writer. Obama is showing the world that we are passive and weak. He is inviting an attack.

So what are the possible interpretations:
1. Obama knows that Bush was so successful in eliminating all potential terrorist so there is no threat to the U.S. anymore so showing strength isn't important.

2. Obama thinks that appearing weak will show the world that we are no longer a threat and therefore there is no reason to attack us (the "playing dead" tactic).

3. Obama really does hate the U.S. and is emasculating the country and taking a submissive posture as a way of inviting our enemies to come on in to set up shop.

I think the writer is right though, if we are attacked again, Obama has set himself up to take the fall. He's not stupid, so that means he must not care. That would take a man of deep convictions to not care about taking the fall for another attack on the U.S.
