TexasDude;

.we have our educational system to teach our kids all they need to know.

Do you have the same fear when sending kids to school? Gosh with a fear of Hitler's Youth Corp, maybe we should pull our kids out of public schools? ........If the program was designed to teach kids as in education, I might agree with you. But the goal of the program, as I understand it, is help under privileged kids that are more than likely to be from a depressed part of the country to have something to do in a time of high unemployment. The CCC program under Rossevelt was hugely successful for a lot of reasons and we still benefit from that program today. I still hike on trails and stay in shelters built almost 80 years ago! There aren't many expenditures made 80 years ago by the government that we still benefit from. Any reading of the history of the CCC is generous with prase as to the feeling of well being in a country riddled with despair. The real unemployment in this country is much higher than people are led to believe. In my rural town the official rate is 12%. My neighbor was laid off work after 35 years with the same company - and is now desperate for work. You dump bunches of kids into this distressed work force and some are going to give up. They give up and become criminals. I suppose then they will get indoctrinated huh? From your quote; .......strategies to address the needs of at-risk youth. How do you want to help change their life? Kids at risk need some indoctrination.

You are right Texasdude! There is simply far too much room for exploitation and indoctrination. It is some to be wary about. No matter what your political leanings as it can to easily turn a large number of youth in one direction or another.

Just what strategies will these community members be teaching our youth.

That's easy:

amazon.com

The same nasty underhanded dishonest strategy that got Obama from coke head to the Presidency.....

new strategies to address the needs of at-risk youth."

Oh yeah, the disillusioned, uneducated proletariat, Obami knows these are the guys that make the very best storm troopers........ They can be brain washed easily with very little effort into the screaming in your face agitators that Obami wants in all our communities..........
