Nothing is strange about breaking GDP down in to sectors. But manufacturing slowly decreasing as a percentage of the economy while (generally) increasing in absolute terms, has little or no logical connection with becoming an all service economy, and also isn't a valid measurement of "the world's leading manufacturing economy". Your points aren't strange and they could be useful in all sorts of contexts, they just aren't relevant your conclusions, to the statements under dispute.
