The only time its valuable can only be determined after the fact so as a general rule i agree with you. But those of us who have watched 24 over the years see the exception of actionable stuff that proves the rule that torture as a policy doesnt work not to mention immoral. I do want jack bauer to break the rule if indeed he has a ticking time bomb. And deep down i think you agree with me on that.
