BCB what are you talking about? My son in law is a professor. He is a teacher and research scientist. He gets no other money than his profressors pay. So what in the hell are you talking about? If my son in law is bought and paid for I wish he would ask for more money as he cannot even afford to the down payment to buy a home and they are frugal. And they are both in their late 30's. He gets his professors pay and nothing else. And it is meager. So what in the hell are you talking about? Is getting paid to teach physics and do research at a university considerd being bought and paid for?? And the apartment he and my daughter rent is modest at best. $1,000 a month and he turns down the heat so much to save money last winter when I visited, I had to bundle up in a sleeping bag. So where is all that money you are talking about? You just make stuff up. >> Charles - your son in law is a global warming profiteer. If his concern was manifest without profit it might merit attention. As it is - he appears bought and paid for - who knows how much influence money has on him or all the other fools getting rich by scaring people. Algore is exhibit 1. In fact BCB, my son inlaw and daughter drive a car with about 200,000 miles on it now that "the family bought him" years ago because he was driving an old Nissan that didn't even have air bags. And he was communting 120 miles a day between Santa Monica and UC Iriving where he was working on his doctorate. My daughter was attending law school at Loyola and could not drive on the LA freeways. They are as poor as church mice and my daughter still owes on her student loans even though the family gave then hundreds of thousands for their educations. You acccuse him of taking payola and he could not even afford a newer car then, or a new car now, or a house. And there is no one on the face of the earth more principled than my son in law and my daughter. I wish I could say the same of you. I have known you ten years, and you still just make stuff up to further your beliefs. Have you no decency at all? Have you lost all your sense of decency? My son in law is a highly principled scientist and as honest as the day is long. He would quit a job in a second before he would compromise his principles. I never agreed with your politcs BCB, but I never expected you to be so mean and distort the truth.
