A convenient dodge. Of course the Democrats aren't issuing taxes "directly related" to the bailout. Instead, they're just borrowing over a trillion dollars per year.

And loaning it out ... not spending it.

You used to be a "deficit hawk," so I'm surprised you didn't see right through this B.S. immediately.

It's not BS. Most of the money that has been authorized is not being loaned out at this point. But it's there if we need it to save the economy (and your sorry ass job playing with computers).

If Bush (yes giving Bush credit) and Obama hadn't done what was necessary we would be in a world of hurt right now. Still might be... stay tuned.

"Sounds like an argument CJ would make."

For good reason. It is the case instead of made up BS.

Sounds like an argument CJ would make. Can't wait for the "potential losses" to actually get realized in the form of massive inflation.

It really is.

The rounding errors in accounting for this money amount to what formerly would have been considered massive sums for our government.

What falls through the cracks would be enough to have paid for the Iraq and Afhanistan wars -- previously, the LW nutjobs' big argument against them. Let alone the actual losses that will occur.

As Obama's popularity wanes, which it will, my greatest concern is I see no conservatives who are going to defeat him then step up and produce a conservative agenda that is sufficiently radical to undo the damage he's done.

We're stuck with it. And this is ALL chickenfeed compared to the socialized medicine program that is upcoming.
