outstanding! he was like george washington! those who voluntarily give up the power they have and return to their former lives are people with beautiful souls. they are extremely, extremely rare these days.

thank you for taking the time to explain.

I had to look that up myself:) 16 days as Supreme Leader and then just hands it back to go till the soil. Rather impressive.

George Washington was a founding member of the Order of Cincinnatus and understood this all very well also. When he was called from his plantation to be the first President many wanted him to be President for life and he could have been. Instead he served his 2 terms and then returned to his plantation.

But, here is the difference today IMO. These professional politicians that we have today have spent their lives trying to attain their life goal of being Senator or President. Without the office they have nothing.

Men like Washington were farmers, businessman, whatever that were basically dragged into their positions and only served begrudgingly because they felt it was their duty to the country. But after a term or two it's like OK, I've done my service now it's time to get back to my real life.
