Iranian annual coal concentrates output up 24% Thursday, 23 Apr 2009 steelguru.com Mehr News Agency reported that Iran’s annual coal concentrate production rose 24% in the previous Iranian calendar year. The Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization recently announced that Iran produced nearly 1.3 million tonnes of coal concentrate in the year. This figure was 3% above the projected production level for the year. In Iranian calendar year 1387 iron ore output hit 25.4 million tonnes, up 19% YoY and is projected to reach 27.3 million tonnes in the current calendar year.
