I don't like Shepard Smith much either.

Smith's mantra this week has been, "We don't torture. We're Americans."

Implicit in this, and in all the outcry over the so-called "torture memos" is that the enhanced interrogation techniques used amount to torture. How can waterboarding be considered torture when we have used the technique in training some of our own military personnel? The other techniques involved were apparently even less extreme than waterboarding.

Shep Smith is prone to hysteria. Recall his reporting from N'Awlins following Katrina.
