Scratch that not teaching it ... that was a statement made out of irritation. Now you're making too much of it. Or is it the atheism (and randomness and all that) that some attach or even equate it with? Yes, of course that is the problem. And the problem with hanging onto evidentiary material or stories (like the peppered moth study I complained about as an example) that turns out to be fraudulent is tied to it .... because those who view it as the creation epic of atheism or materialism are willing to do whatever it takes to support it.
