I didn't know that this was the basic theory of the BK thread. As far as I am concerned, my points very simple: 1) over-valuation, 2) unrealitic expectations, 3) public's obsession with stocks, 4) "nothing could go wrong" sort of mind set, 5) buy the dips without regard to fundamentals and 6) momentum investing ran amuck!
I will get back to you with my thoughts on bonds-stocks later. But, here is something I posted on the Idea thread about 10 days ago. It is still valid.

To me it llos like the short-seller is the only hope left for the market. value investors have fled the market some time ago and they won't come to buy insignificant dips.
