Tonight both gold and silver are up, my guess on the Pakistan news.

However, platinum is not (as this is written).

My guess: there is still some question as to whether platinum is a monetary metal.

Also, there is probably some effect of the GM plant close down announcement on PT.

[No doubt, it IS scarce, and yes, I do own some, and its certainly good diversification, but the question still remains].

Since it appears Geitner will get to take much of the blame, it makes little sense to replace him until almost all of the bad news is out and people expectations are lower.

I think to some degree he was played for a fool by various entities.
