"......all your comrades who did some serious damage to this country. You all believe that you are all above the law. Well I have news for you, pumpkin, none of you are above the law. You all are not the great citizens you fancy yourselves to be. And if I sound angry, I am!

Yes you sound angry and as usual, full of it. Comrades??? Do a reality check dude. You are p'ing into the wind here and it just makes you look silly.

No one is above the law and that has been my entire point and my only point related to this issue, that is relevant. The law is clear and neither you nor Bush is able to screw with it to your satisfaction. Personally, I am absolutely opposed to torture and in my personal affairs against any sort of coerciveness that would compromise another person's conscience. I've made that abundantly clear over the years and the claims of your 'comrades' to the contrary are just ludicrous, but feel free to continue making fools of yourselves, by making facetious claims if you think there is some benefit in that. I will continue exposing flaws and deceit as I come accross it. That is entirely beside the point when it comes down to the legal argument wrt torture.

As a matter of law the issue is poison for Obama. If he is wise he will separate himself from it so that the legal entities can fight it out in the arena of justice where it belongs. It is like so many other issues that can only be known in context and circumstance. Like a woman's rights over her body, the conduct and rights of gay citizens, the handling of and reintroduction of criminals into society, etc. No position or statement covers all scenarios and contexts that satisfy these issues...except perhaps dopey partisan positions that can be boiled down to bush bad, obama good followed by blah blah blah. Visionary leaders like Obama are better off providing direction and staying out of the trenches where their crown of glory would be tarnished.

In this particular case, it is a no win situation for Obama if he gets drawn into the entanglements of political/legal/principle and personal elements of the issue. You want a pound of Bush flesh. I think Obama is smarter than that but I could be wrong. The issue will be worked out and resolved by the justice department and that is where it should be handled.
