I also seem to recall I saw an interview that SO may be subject to more cap and trade (if that happens) risk than others. My personal favorite ute is D.

Thanks, I'll look closer at those stocks and Dominion. I had looked at DUK and passed. Can't now recall why I liked SO better than DUK - sales growth,dividend growth comparisons over past five years maybe. ED has a better rating (AAA), but I didn't like its concentration in NY (a concentration which others might view as a positive).
