Talk about a bloodbath on the street...Hope no one here is a short-term trader on the upside. Zenith is strictly a three to five year play on the paradigm shift from analog to digital CE.

Anyone read "Home Theater" magazine? The November issue features Philips's new "convergence" unit at $5,000 a pop. Hope Zenith has a similar model using the Oracle version versus the MSFT OS. It's called the Philips DVX8000 Multimedia Home Theater and features a line doubler, computer, DVD and a preamp/processor. Separately, these features would cost about $15K. Home Theater gave it a rave review.

My read is that Zenith is working on a similar unit to go with a data-grade monitor thus is holding back on introducing the NCTV. By replacing the computer with a NC and offering the remaining features, Zenith could undercut Philips by a grand or more.
