What, exactly would make you happy? The US without an auto industry, all imported cars? 200K+ job losses? A depression?

It's a good start...

Not if they "guarantee" in some way that the unions won't be hurt, which is what they claim they're doing with DCX.

I don't know how in hell you do that but that's what they said.

RW, > You guys are aware that Obama's task force is leading GM towards a controlled bankruptcy. And that is considered "crossing the unions".

You sure about both? Seems like "controlled bankruptcy" is a contingency plan being used as leverage on GM's management, which itself is in turmoil, and on GM's creditors, including the UAW.

According to this link, such a "controlled bankruptcy" would be a micromanagement nightmare:

nakedcapitalism.com

That doesn't sound like something even Obama would want to deal with if it weren't for the fact that MI governor Granholm is part of his economic advisory committee ...

What are you rooting for?

The only thing that would make them happy is Obama losing the election. Since that didn't happen, the next best thing is for everyone to hate Obama as much as they hated Bush.

Good luck on that one.
