"I don't think there is any way to stop the investigation and probable prosecution of the Bush administration for war crimes."

I think it's a good thing. I think Ford's pardon of Nixon was terrible for this country, and just reinforced the notion that we have a dual system of justice, one for ordinary people and another for the connected, rich and powerful.

Let's PROVE that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, etc. are just citizens after all, and are responsible for their actions. The world will marvel if we do. Every American can be proud of their country again.

My editorial opinion:

I don't think there is any way to stop the investigation and probable prosecution of the Bush administration for war crimes. We are a nation of laws, and the laws will dictate what happens. It looks inevitable.

I am totally against it, from a pragmatic perspective. It's going to really hurt the country. As disgusting as those action were, some times it's best to move on and deal with it in better times.

To have hidden it would have been more of the same. We've been doing it for decades and its what helped get us into the mess we are in. Frankly, I had hoped that the findings would not be that serious. Unfortunately, that turned out to be wrong.

Damn, the Bush legacy is going to kill us.

.....or make our democracy stronger.
