Perhaps the problem with Vectorvest's valuations is that they are presuming that current growth rates will go on forever, then.

But, in fact, I think it's more because it IS automated. There are too many things that the algorithm can't "know". For example, the fact that most Y2K stocks won't make money much after 2000.

I think that substituting a antomated algorithm for human analysis is a big mistake and is seriously misleading people. I see these comments here constantly hauling out a VectorVest valuation and pointing out how all the human analysts are wrong.
