Brumar - we must remember the American Stalinists "care"! You know in my memory I used to ask the alarmists how we could best spend a trillion dollars to help humanity? It was my attempt to show that there are real solid things that could be done to help rather than spend the money on a maybe. The question is no longer valid. We are broke. Obama has taken the financial irresponsibility of Bush and multiplied it! Change we can believe in is increasing our speed as we head for an ice berg. Bob

Imhoffe did the same thing. Don't be a hypocrite, Brumar. I agree that these hearings are one-sided by a group of Dems that have already made up their minds. In fact, most of the US has already made up their minds that we need to move to renewables fast. So those Dems are a reflection of most Americans. However, you act as if the GOP didn't do the exact same things that you bitch and moan about the Dems doing now. The GOP was dictatorial when they held complete power. Payback is a bitch. It must be very frustrating for you to watch. I know exactly how it feels, because I felt exactly the same way for the last 4 years, after I woke up and realized the GOP in its current ideological manifestation was bad for this country.
