That creates a rare situation in american politics when a third party arises and displaces #2. IF perot was a bit more sane, he might have displaced one of the two parties. Reps replaced the whigs if i remember my history right. For a real center right party to emerge, moderate and conservative dems would need to be in play again. That could happen either post obama or if obama admin is perceived as being unsuccessful. Guys like me had no choice to move to the folks with brains and though i support emergency measures taken as better than nothing, i can be wooed back to the center right where i think i sit philospophically. A guy like bloomberg could move me there or s-negger or other governators of both parties who exist by necessity in the center.
