>>But hey, if in your little world all Americans are saintly nonpolluters and all chinese are polluters, well then we don't see the same world.<< you have a vivid imagination - i never said anything remotely close to substantiating your above stated opinion of my thoughts. in fact, i responded to someone who said the USA was the lone polluter in the world while everyone else was taking the environment seriously and i chimed in how the china doesn't take the environment seriously as evidenced by things like lead in toys and the filth that was beijing air during the olympics. it that isn't enough, how about chinese drywall that is effectively poisonous? and i have no problem with folks wanting to keep the environment clean, but i do have an issue if they LIE TO THE PEOPLE in order to drum up fear and use that fear to mislead people for untold personal gain. i also have a problem with someone who burns 100x more energy than i do telling me i don't conserve enough energy and i need to pay more taxes to the person using 100x more energy than i do! any environmentalist that will readily lie and support lies is not someone i can respect. it is absurd that al gore gets to go before congress and they REFUSE to allow someone promote facts to refute gore's self serving LIES.
