Bob, I made no claims about commercial availability. I was just responding to your mistaken statement that co2 capture doesn't exists. It does. How far along the path to commercialization those technologies are, yes, that is a good question to ask.

You wrote, "What do you not understand about technology existing and research science."

I'm not sure what you mean by this fragment, but I'm fairly familiar with the difference between research, technology, and commercialization. Some forms of CO2 capture have made it past the research phase as it is being built and scaled up. The research must already have enabled the technology to design such capture. It certainly hasn't become commercialized (no reason up until recently). But GW is a long range project, there's no reason to think that if something can't be commercialized in 15 years that it shouldn't be designed, tested, and advanced now.

You're pretty passionate about this whole thing. You're willing to say you can see an epidemic of ignorance on the left because of one post on SI. You sure those ammonia fumes didn't get to you? -g-

And the folks on the right believe humans began existence 6,000 years ago and that evolution is a plot from the devil to turn good Christians from God.

Ignorance is rife on both sides of the isle, my friend.
