Com'on Bill youre'smarter than that, I too look at the Bond market for hints on the direction of the stock market, but the main reason the bond market is strong is because investors are shifting from stocks to bonds (for once). I am also very concerned about the next unemployment rate (which I believe will be stronger than people are predicting and that could be a killer for stocks (anystock... well almost).
