"investors can't count on buy and hold investing for long term" Volatility is here to stay, I think.

The world of interconnected economies, will be subject to forces which they could not control.

National economies and whose,industrial sectors will be subject to sudden jolts and that will affect long temr investment decisions.

The G-20 must be made solid so that those jolts do not wildly swing up and down.

One day oil is 147 and there is no oil. Six months later there is a glut.

One day shipping costs are more expensive than the materials it carries, six months later the ships are empty.

One day aircraft factories are working flat out, six months later the jets are going from the factory to Mojave desert to be parked.

It will affect everybody Imagine one guy deciding which school should he go, to learn something and them discover that the knowledge he is gaining there is not saleable.

It is no wonder why banks are awash with cash but are not lending. That is why the state is stepping in the economy
