Perhaps some should consider that Cheney feels it is duty to speak out against the naive and destructive national security path the Obama administration is pursuing.

After the next major attack no one will be concerned about whether water boarding is torture or not.

When our nation is attacked our ideals have led us to battle where we incinerated hundreds of thousands of women and children. Dropping napalm on paper cities had one objective.

The nation has not been attacked since 9/11. I am not so certain that this administration is will provide the same results over the next four.

What long standing practice? Jimmy Carter hasn't shut up for 10 minutes in 20 years.

I applaud Cheney for his comments about the so-called torture memos and anything he wants to use to push back at the current administration.

That's the tried and true, in-you-face lefty method that has been elevated to an art form over the past 8 years and in particular by the Obamatons.

The GOP has fallen down because it hasn't kept up with the change in rules of the game.

It's time for stiffened spines and gloves off.

Cheney has the right idea.

Graham better rethink his strategy. So should McCain.

(btw, when is that airhead daughter of his going to STFU?)

Typical NYT hypocrisy - They gave Jimmah Carter an op ed today to spew his worthless nonsense. The tradition they speak of must be of Republicans keeping their traps shut when they leave office. Democrats sure as heck never have.

In a sharp break with long-standing practice, Mr. Cheney has emerged as the highest-profile critic of the new administration.
