Dumped my calls too. I want to keep my powder dry. I smell fear, and I don't want to try to pick the bottom. Short-lived rallies are being sold into.

Well, I never use the excuse of taxes to take profits. That is simply a notion that is without merit, IMO. Yes it is ugly and could get uglier. Somehow I think the Fed by Wed. will restore some faith and order. Actually, I'm sharpening my pencil and looking to buy. Took some profits on some of the puts (Sold half of my NT's and LU's puts I had for earning reasons) that I had and still have a couple of OEX puts I bot after HK collapsed. My psoition isn't down that bad right now with those put's. Question is when to take all those profits. Ah, question questions. What the hell is holding up MSFT!!!!!!!! AT least Dell is tanking (Finally making money on those puts). Hey how about Nokia!!!! They and Ericsson are heavily exposed in Asia and Latin America. Ah, keep a cool head folks. Do your homework and look for the bargains. You'll look back and say "I survived the decline of '97". Anybody want to print up a couple of thousand tee-shirts???????????????? I think I'll belly up to the bar and get some Jan 60 calls on QCOM. I'm going to put in a order for 3 to see if their is nervousness. Set prices folks and don't buy at market.
