>>I may add to my Apr calls on CPQ, and open a longer term position in TXN (since my Nov trades are dead). Can't help myself....I'm convinced these two will pay off.<<

My advice is to wait on both these. I think that the 350 trading halt will occur and then we may see panic selling for a while.

Kevin,

Totally agree... I cannot see that this will continue..

CPQ down to 62????????? Time to maybe load on a few April 75's???

TXN down to 102, damn that is a SLAUGHTER!!!

Naz down 84, Dow down 3%

Anyone have an idea why this is still going on???

MM's in conspiracy is not a theory I support here...

For the daring, there may be some sweet money to be made........

Electric (not feeling Electric today though)

Anybody bottom fishing yet?

Not me--I'm sitting back today. DOW 7400 is -315 on the day, and we're almost there. -350 NYSE trigger also feels like a market goal to me.

I have the same situation in CPQ that you do with TXN--worthless Nov calls, interested in going out to April or later. But not yet.

One of today's most startling numbers is the RUT (Russell 2000) down about 20 points. That's huge.

Well Kevin and all--I am flat the S&P futures

Closed out my short position for a profit of 40 points or $20K per contract.

Still long the OEX puts but these are really insurance against my long positions.

Looking at establishing an initial position in LU at 70

hi kevin,

My screen is red red red, with the sole exception of FTEL! which is up again.

Remind me to learn about bearishness. I looked at DJX puts this morning, but irrational exuberance overcame me when the down pared its early losses from -80 to -40.

I did buy some KLIC nov 35s (got them at the then-bid, which is now the ask).

DDIM is down 15 points from its recent high. Too bad I shorted low and covered part of it high. I'm at the breakeven on it now, and waiting for further downward momentum. woo woo, i may make a few pennies on it.

I'll call for a turnaround rally starting wednesday, and a retest of 8000.
