But seriously, how can you say science can't model a system? That's silly. Of course, science can. They've already modeled it, but imperfectly, and with imperfect modeling, they can still glean very important information from it. For example, it is indisputable that both CO2 levels and sunspot levels are important variables in the climate equation. Don't you think that's important info?
