Here is a quick little bio of Annie. The medals were won for her shooting. lkwdpl.org Calamity Jane was quite the character, and just the kind of woman that could make it on her own in the wild west. Strong...defiant.........resourceful.......a real survivor. Well.......until she drank herself to death. She seemed to be lost and alone most of her life.
