Very good point!! We definitely see an increase during winter months.. ;0)

But then again, by July we start seeing a drop off and I wonder how much of that is also due to phytoplankton growth, as well as increased temperature of the oceans and inability to absorb as much CO2. Just so many factors involved.

But you're right.. the CO2 readings need to be taken from areas relative undisturbed by immediate human emissions in order to obtain objective data.

I found this interesting as well, with regard to how they obtain their results:

I like to know all the locations where they perform CO2 sampling and analysis. It would seem appropriate that they all use similar equipment and testing criteria.
